What channel is used for voice calls, the B- or D-channel?

0

There are three types of voice calls that can be placed on Meridian HomeOffice II, whether it is digital voice or analog voice. They are: * The voice call made while the digital telephone set is “online” to the PBX * The voice call made while the digital telephone set is “offline” to the PBX * The voice call made via the FAX port on the HomeOffice Router. In any of these scenarios, the call is placed across one of the B-channels. The D-channel is used only for ISDN BRI B-channel call setup and tear down. Nortel Networks authorized distributor channels can contact 1-800-4 Nortel for further assistance with questions. For more information visit www.nortel.com.
