What changes have been made in respect of movements into herds that are free of Tuberculosis?
Where an animal moves in contravention of a movement restriction notice into a Tuberculosis free herd from a herd that is under TB restriction, the receiving herd will also be placed under movement restriction (meaning no moves out except to slaughter) by DVO staff. An example of a move in contravention of a movement restriction notice is where a herd has not completed an annual TB herd test in time, has been placed under BT 25 restriction pending completion of the test and has moved cattle in contravention of the BT25 notice. Restrictions will be lifted when the individual moved-in animal is tested clear. This could be done either by a Private Check Test or at your routine herd test.
