What changes did Thomas Jefferson bring to the U.S. as President?
The tall red head was a genius and a visionary. He invented the pedometer, was a surveyor, agronomist, invented the dumb waiter, had a makeshift, non electric air conditioning system in a small room between the top and bottom floors of his house, had a toilet seat that sat over a river and God knows what else. My favorite tidbit about him was that he bought the state of Louisiana for the ridiculous price of $800,000.00! He was forced to purchase it from france because there would have been a chance that we would go to war against each other. Jefferson sent envoys to France to purchase it and borrowed the money from Great Britain at 6% interest! Wow history’s cool.
