Our teacher preparation programs are approved as such by the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE), which allows Penn GSE faculty to recommend students for Instructional Level I Certification in elementary education (grades K-6) and the following secondary (grades 7-12) subject areas: mathematics, biology, chemistry, physics, general science, English, and social studies.
