What certifications are there for web marketing-related skills?
Google provides Adwords and Analytics certification(s). The Web Analytics Association provides certification as well. I would also warn you to stay away from groups such as Bisk Education offering the “Internet Marketing Certificate Program” through The University of San Francisco and other universities around the US. These programs are extremely expensive (over $6,000 for 18 weeks of “course work”) that barely cover the basics without any real certifications, etc. (no matter what they tell you). A lot of folks I’ve talked to feel they were scammed… so be sure to vet programs carefully before putting down any money and know what you are getting in the end.
