VMware currently offers the VCP on VMware Infrastructure 3, which is used to recognize those professionals with expertise on VMware Virtual Infrastructure 3. VMware previously offered the VCP exam for people using ESX Server 2.x and VirtualCenter. VMware now also has an advanced certifcation: the VMware Certified Design Expert.
