What certificates or permits do I need to bring Breeding Beef Cattle into Colorado?
• Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI) issued by an accredited veterinarian within 30 days prior to entry into Colorado with all official animal identification numbers listed on the CVI. Exception: • Cattle shipped directly from the ranch of origin to a licensed livestock market where: • Either they will be consigned and accompanied by a CVI when they leave the market • Or they will be shipped directly to a federally inspected slaughter facility • Statements: Bulls entering Colorado shall have one of the following statements listed on the CVI: • “Trichomonas foetus has not been diagnosed in the herd of origin” • “The bull(s) represented on this Certificate of Veterinary Inspection have three consecutive negative Trichomonas foetus tests which were at least a week apart within 30 days prior to entry and there has been no female contact since the first qualifying test.” • Virgin bulls under 2 years of age: The bulls listed on this certificate are virgin bulls and have not had any c
