What causes unequal lengths of day and night?
It is the tilt of the earth’s axis that is responsible for the unequal day and night.Because of this tilt only, poles have daytime for six months and night time for six months continuosly.If the axis has no tilt and is exactly perpendicular to the plane of revolution around the sun, all places from the equator to poles will have equal day time and night times.
