Could be carpal tunnel syndrome, but it will depend on where the tingling is. Generally speaking, tingling in the hand is the result of pinched nerves somewhere between the head and the hand. Could be anywhere, but one of the most common would be the Median Nerve pinched at the wrist by a group of tendons that cover the carpal tunnel where it passes. In the case of carpal tunnel it will be the thumb and 1st two fingers that are affected. If you have a pinched Ulnar (2nd most common) it will be the last two fingers and outside part of the hand. Ulnar compressions are common at the “funny bone” (an exposed area of the Ulnar Nerve), usually from repeated leaning on that area…say cleaning a tub. Carpal Tunnel issues are often related to repeated tasks putting pressure on the wrist (typing, cutting with knives, driving jobs, factory work etc).
