What causes the “Unable to open infobase , Error opening the file ” error message?
Standalone Install: This message appears when Tax-Link is trying to load the infobase for the data from the Infobase Location. If the Installation is a typical install (i.e. the data is left on the CD), check that the correct CD-ROM is in the Drive and it is functioning correctly. Network Install: Again it is trying to load the Infobase from the Infobase Location. If the installation is a typical install check the path of where the CD is, also if there is a drive mapping to the CD and that the CD is in that drive. If it is a full install (i.e. the data is copied onto another hard disk drive), it is possible the infobase is corrupted and a manual copy of the infobase from the CD to the HDD is required.
