What causes the Moon to revolve the Earth and rotate at exactly the same rate?

The moon does in fact rotate at the same rate as it revolves around the earth. This is because the moon is tidally locked to the earth. As a result, we always see the same side of the moon. I like the term “far side” of the moon, but not “dark side” of the moon. There is one side that is never visible from earth, but that side gets EXACTLY as much sunlight as does the side that faces the earth. This is due to the tidal locking of the moon. I really don’t understand why people answer a question when they themselves don’t understand the question or the answer… Good luck.
