What causes the Dell® Blue Screen of Death?
The Blue Screen of Death is essentially just an error message that has been detected by the Windows® operating system. Unfortunately, it is a really, really bad error. What happens is that Windows® encounters errors it cannot easily repair (i.e. without losing data), halts whatever you are doing, and throws up an error message in white text on a blue background. These blue screens used to be covered in a dense web of information, but have relatively short messages in modern editions of the Windows® OS.
