What causes static electricity in hair?
If you have static in your hair, you are lacking moisture. You need to use a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. For a quick fix, a shine spray will get rid of static, but will not permanently solve the problem. In fact, some shine products contain alcohol which will keep drying out the hair and make the static worse. Where will I see product or oil buildup the most? For most women, especially teenagers, the most difficult area to keep clean and free of buildup or oil is the crown (back of the head). This is usually the thickest part of your hair and the most difficult to keep clean. Shampoo more than once if necessary, and be sure to get your shampoo (and your fingers) all the way to the scalp in this area.
