What causes sore breasts and swollen nipples?
If it comes and goes you may realize that it only happens before, during, or a little after your period. Also, you may be pregnant. If you are a teenager or young adult it is probably because your breasts are still developing. All of this is perfectly natural and is supposed to happen. If none of this applies to you and you find no other cause, you should go to the doctor ASAP and request a mammogram. Contrary to what is talked about, it is possible for even young people to develop a tumor or possibly even cancer in their breasts. It may just be a hormonal issue your doctor can treat.
