What causes some people to self isolate?
I shall tell you why I have isolated other than two people IRL, not counting Keysha’s sisters who come to visit her and with whom I have no problem (and having to be around work). I choose to associate with a very few people. I choose to not go to bars or the like. This is the conscious choice after living the School of Hard Knocks. I have not had an easy life, a life which includes racism, the law denying me justice after an attempted murder (amongst other things), years of stalking (to this day), seeing more hate than I can stomach, seeing the rich turn on the poor, unsuccessful fights for medical care for myself and my loved ones (including friends die due to denial of it), and more personal betrayals than I can count. As a result I do not trust many and my already limited desire to be around other people has become less so. I never was a social butterfly to begin with and now I am even more isolative.
