What causes premature labour?

0

premature labor can be caused by many many things such as infection, smoking, drug use, weak or incompetent cervix, stress (possibly but not really proven), an over active uterus (this was my problem, everytime i would move i would have a contraction), too much amniotic fluid… I am sure there are more but this is all I can think of, and there are of course the times when the doctors can’t exactly pinpoint why… It usually isn’t genetic, you might be at a higher risk but I know my mom delivered at least 2 of her kids early and with my first I had to be induced 1 week late and with this one I am 39 weeks almost and no signs of labor…
