What causes Pinking?
Profiles manufactured using lead-based stabilisers have been, and are still being affected by discolouration. Reports on the subject suggest that it may not be lead itself which actually causes the problem, but a mismatch of lead and pigment in poor formulations. While discussions and debates continue into the exact cause, the experience of companies already affected by the problem would appear to conclude that to avoid lead is the best way to avoid pinking.
