What causes kitchen appliances to sometimes trip the circuit breaker?
One of the main causes is an overloaded circuit. This occurs when too many appliances are plugged into the same circuit and are being used at the same time. Most manors were originally designed for basic counter top appliances such as a toaster, coffeemaker, etc., and were not provided with electrical service sufficient for accommodating numerous appliances operating at the same time. With the trend of acquiring modern quick food preparation appliances such as microwaves, toaster ovens, and grill-type appliances, one tends to over use the circuit. Overloading the circuit will trip the breaker. Try unplugging the appliances and reset the breaker. If it doesnt trip again immediately, then the circuit was overloaded.
