What causes high liver enzymes as well as high phosphorus?

0

This could be a liver or kidney problem. The liver enzymes are made in the liver cells. If the liver cells become damaged, these enzymes leak out and go higher in the blood. High phosphorus can come from drinking alot of soda. However, the kidneys usually remove the excess. High liver enzymes and high phosphorus, therefore could be a sign of kidney problems. The doctors do other tests to check the liver: liver function tests (Bilirubin, INR, Albumin, Pt, PTT) and liver blood viral tests (for Hepatitis A,B,C, etc). He also does the Creatinine, Bun, GFR to check the kidneys. Hope this is of some help.
