There is a shampoo called “shimmering lights” made by Clairol that is purple in color and may help. Depending on how gray you are you might want to try breaking the base which means lifting the cuticle slightly with peroxide and a lightener and then using a purple based toner. Also remember to cancel out a color the opposite color on the color wheel is used. Yellow is canceled out by two colors. Red and blue neutralize yellow into a brown or neutral (which is really what you are doing only into white.) Yellow and blue make green, while yellow and red make orange. Yellow plus both red and blue (purple or a violet shade in different strengths of each color) is more likely to neutralize the yellow. Another factor is how clarifying the shampoo is, in other words how much of the yellow causing particles can it lift.
