What causes External Hemorrhoids?
External hemorrhoids are thought to be caused by the inflammation of veins at the anal opening. Some of the more common things that can cause this inflammation include straining to pass stools while going to the toilet, tissue deterioration in and around the anal passage (usually caused through natural aging), increased blood flow and pressure – often through pregnancy, anal intercourse, prolonger cases of diarrhea or constipation, diet low in fiber, and heavy weightlifting. Overweight people are also more susceptible to hemorrhoids.
