What causes cervical dysplasia?
The exact cause of cervical dysplasia is unknown. There has been a strong correlation between HPV (Human Papillomavirus) and cervical dysplasia, however. Other risk factors include genital warts, smoking, multiple sexual partners, and long term use of birth control pills among many others.
