What Causes Arthritis Back Pain?
Arthritis in the backbone occurs when the cartilage or discs wear down. The wear and tear can be from aging, injury, bone spurs, bone overgrowth, or misuse. The pain from arthritis is from swelling when the bones rub together as the cartilage is not defending the joint. Arthritis may cause agony and stiffness in the neck or lower back. Certain lifestyles will lead to a greater percentage of individuals suffering from spinal arthritis. Older people, people that play sports or use their joints for work, people with injuries and obese individuals are highly likely to suffer arthritis back stiffness as they are getting older.
