What causes an air conditioner to ice up?
Icing can be caused by various reasons. It could be that the unit has not been cleaned in a long time and just needs a good cleaning; the filter could be dirty; if you are running it on a very cold temperature but at a low fan speed; or there could be a problem within the sealed system.
