What causes an Abnormal Program Termination during a Search of Books on Screen?
Individual User Only: Run bosuser.exe and delete that user that is experiencing the A.P.T. Deselect their available publications, delete them as a user. Then restart the PC and run bosuser.exe again and create a new user with a different name. This should resolve this problem. If it does not then, find out their user name from the bosv3.ini file, and find the corresponding USR*.inf file in the users directory. Delete those files that correspond to this usr*.inf file, e.g. usr00001.inf/cfg/dat/qry Reconnect to the server and run bosuser.exe, create a new user with a different name. If problems still persist, contact the Helpdesk for assistance. All Users: If all the users experience this A.P.T. then the data itself is corrupt (Generally occurs on a full install). Manually copy across from the latest CD, the relevant folders containing the information ,into the folders on the network. Remove from the attributes list any occurrences of read-only.
