what causes acrylic nails to turn yellow and how can I prevent it?
and I just found out recently that most likely it is cheap powdered acrylic …. The cheaper powders turn yellow with age and with UV light exposure. This means tanning beds , natural sunlight and those lights they use to dry your nails with. Some of the nail places use this cause its cheaeper obviously. I also found out there is more ‘lifting’ when a cheaper powder is used. Some people say its sun tanning lotion but i havent used any when this has happened. Some also say it happens when you use darker colors…but i always get a french manicure so that didnt apply to me either- they have a product called yellow out which is a clear coat that protects your nails from turning yellow – i have never used it – just know of the product… http://www2.shopping.
