Urinary tract includes bladder, kidneys, ureters and urethra. Infection in any of these areas is called urinary tract infection. This infection is due to bacteria. In male dogs, prostate gland and in female dogs, female genitalia can also be infected by bacteria. This problem can cause bloody urine, fever, urinary incontinence, smelly urine, fatigue and lethargy, loss of appetite etc. Antibiotics are drug of choice to treat urinary tract infections.
