What causes a person to depend on somebody else emotionally?
Lots of things and not all of them bad. It could be that they depend on the other person emotionally because they are deeply intimate with this person. And that the dependency is mutual and strengthens both parties. There are a lot of deeply disconnected people who seek to need nothing from no one and it doesn’t appear to be making happier people or a happier world.
