What causes a blown head gasket and whats the cost of repair?
i own a repair shop and there’s several things that can cause it ,one is over heating it ,or running it low on coolant which will make it over heat,and another is running it real hard,and some vehicles like yours have a reputation of blowing head gaskets,and the vibe is one of them,also if the coolant fan doesn’t come on it will do this ,there’s lot of reasons,but the vibes did a have a reputation of blowing head gaskets,and the cost to repair this one and do it right is about 800 bucks ,because they have to have the head trued back up or it wont hold up very long until it blows another one,they may charge a little more also depending on the amount of damage caused by this one blowing,good luck with it i hope this helps.
