What caused world war 2? ?
WW II was for all intents and purposes a continuation of WW I. The Treaty of Versailles set the stage. What caused WW II? Greed, ineptitude, spinelessness and an inability for a great many to think through clearly the direction they were headed. Neville Chamberlain (Prime Minister of England a liberal) was more interested in preserving peace at any and all cost than in doing what was right. Joseph Stalin (“President” of Soviet Russia) was willing to deal with the devil himself to get what he wanted. The devil stabbed him in the back. Hirohito (Emperor of Japan) allowed his military to assume most of the control over the nation and made a land grab throughout the far East and the Pacific. Roosevelt (President of U.S.A.) secretly conspired to involve the U.S. in war in Spain, China and England. All the while, making bank in the process (selling weapons to all sides). And lastly, Hitler (Chancellor of Germany) was a greedy little SOB who it turns out may well have been the devil himself.
To answer what caused World War 2 would be to anser what allowed it to happen. World War 2, and World War 1 for that matter, may have never happened in such a grand scale if the groundation of industrialization were to never to have been on such a grand scale. If Germany were to never have had the funds to build railing or if the populations hadn’t increased 4-fold between 1800-1900, the World Wars would have never reached to so manyh nations and so many lives wouldn’t have been claimed. Alas, as early as as 1839 Germany gained the technilogical feet of rails, and later steampower. By the 1860s weapons like automatic rifles and and chassepot rifles reached 300,000 a year. From 1880-1900, the machine-gun and quick-firing artillery was being mass-produced. Economy rapidly increased in every nation and military funding reached their highest. Before World War 1, peasants and surfs were unsuitable for war and partisans were the main soldier, but by the 1900s, a soldier doubled as a civilian
