What caused the sad and unexpected death of Mohegan Sun executive, Rocco Santoro?
Mohegan – Mohegan Sun officials and staff are mourning the loss of a casino executive killed Sunday in a Florida traffic accident. Details of the Broward County accident that claimed the life of Rocco Santoro, Mohegan Sun’s vice president of table games, were not immediately available today. “He was a good friend of mine, and a great employee,” Jeffrey Hartmann, Mohegan Sun’s executive vice president and chief operating officer, said. “He had a great way with people, treating everybody with respect and dignity. He will be missed.” Hartmann said he worked with Santoro at Foxwoods Resort Casino in the early 1990s and that Santoro later worked for a time at The Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City. Santoro joined Mohegan Sun in 2005. Santoro, a Mystic resident, is survived by a wife and two daughters, according to Hartmann. Sources: http://www.theday.com/re.aspx?
