Navy Federal computer systems restored after outage June 17, 2008 – 2:34PM Computer systems at Navy Federal Credit Union banks are back up and running after a power outage at the bank’s Virginia headquarters shut down systems in the bank branches. “On Tuesday morning, Navy Federal experienced a major power outage, which temporarily impacted our phone service and internet access. Please be assured that the integrity of your account was preserved. All service is now fully restored. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused,” a message on the bank’s Web site reads Wednesday morning. Tuesday, a sign posted at the branch at 302 Western Boulevard alerted customers: “Due to a power outage within our headquarters building all systems are currently down. Your transactions are limited.
