What caused the home gas explosion in Mobile?
Two people were life-flighted to the University of South Alabama Burn Unit in Mobile yesterday morning after a natural gas explosion at their Destin home. Okaloosa Sheriff’s officials say the explosion occurred at the home on Calhoun Avenue, after the gas powered dryer was turned off. Natural gas explosions are rare but there are things you can do to reduce the chances even more. This is the aftermath of Thursday’s natural gas explosion at this home rented by 49-year old Michael Blanchard and 40-year old Fay Burroughs. The blast knocked out the garage door and destroyed the front door. But the damage to the couple was far worse. The 911 call made my Burroughs was a frantic scream for help. “My hair. My body.
