The Gulf War between the U.S. and its allies, and Iraq was caused by Iraq’s invasion of Kuwait. In August of 1991 Iraq decided to invade and occupy the small country of Kuwait. The U.S. and it allies ordered Iraq to leave, and when it didn’t, they declared war.
