What caused my Vertebral Subluxation?
A Vertebral Subluxation can be caused by any type of stress that overwhelms the body. Many patients are surprised to find that they have subluxations they didn’t know about. Often a pain that is felt in an entirely different section of the body, can be traced back to its originating root as a subluxation of the spine. Subluxations can be caused by a difficult birth or delivery, an auto accident, a fall – no matter how long ago, even as a child – bad posture, eating a lot of junk food (chemical stress), using the same body repetitions over and over, at work or at play (repetitive strain injury), intense emotional stress, being a couch potato, pushing yourself too hard, dental work, drug use or medications, surgery, working in an awkward position, a mild jar when you are unprepared, an emotional shock when your energy is low, and long car rides.
