What caused my sunken in eyes and purplish dark circles underneath?

It looked like he had gotten punched in the eye every day (not an exaggeration). Turns out he was allergic to wheat. That allergy was causing the under eye circles and sunken look. He was also allergic to dairy, but I’m not sure if that had contributed to the dark eye circles. I’m definitely not saying you’re allergic to wheat or may be, but it’s possible that you do have an allergy (it could even be to something other than food…like a certain tree or grass etc). I had styes on my eyes for 9 years (so bad I almost went blind) and we discovered that I was very allergic to apples and that’s what had been causing my styes. Definitely something to look into.
