What careers are program graduates prepared to enter?
Graduates will be prepared for entry-level positions in computer network planning, installation, and operational support. Information technology industry trends indicate that employment opportunities for trained network professionals are outstanding. Economic success in the high technology industry has resulted in sharply increased demand, and the October 1998 State of California Final Report: Information Technology Staff Recruitment and Retention showed that positions in “Data Network Infrastructure” were among the most difficult to recruit and retain, ranking 5th and 12th respectively among 25 computing technology skill areas.
