What careers are available for English Education graduates?
While most of our students do become English teachers in secondary schools around the country, many also decide to pursue graduate education, establish careers in the business world, or work in the community or non-profit sector. The skills and practices you learn in the English Education program – how to motivate people, how to organize ideas and information, how to read and analyze texts, how to make visual and oral presentations, and how to apply theory to practice – are skills that are universally important to all careers. For specific information on what our undergraduates have done after graduating, please see Career Options on the homepage of the English Department. There you will find survey results and career panel information, as well as a link to USU Career Services.
