What careers are available for a history major?
31 years of teaching under my belt…the best careers for History majors are found in the larger museums, art galleries and of course in Hollywood. research assistants are needed in all fields in the movie industry and working with journalists and large newspapers. Any additional language skills are important for jobs in industry. Chinese is the best bet for working in China and the Chinese are hiring many Western graduates to teach history and social skills to their up and coming industry leaders. Good luck and know that there really are great jobs still out there.
