First lesson you learn in life is that “successes” of the past bears little fruit should you have no talent and/or drive to follow through. If you truly were instrumental in getting those “prizes”, you wouldn’t be changing your career. Just because you were part of a prize winning firm does not give you the right to bask in their glory. For people reading this post, it goes to show you that getting into the “top grad school” does not mean a single thing if you don’t do anything with your degree. As for what career change for a failed architect, you should consider working for a developer and be an owner’s rep. But without knowing why you failed in this field, it’s just a guess.
