What care should be taken to avoid communication problem?
An open communication policy is a pre-requisite. Both sides should ensure that every issue has been covered and interpreted properly. One should develop proper communication channels, assigning contact person for different matters. For example A for reporting, B for technology related matters, C for administrative and financial purposes, etc. Ensure that all communication reaches you; and every matter on both sides, is addressed properly even if it seems minor. Involve the personnel at the vendor’s office who are key to carrying out the various functions like the managers, the technical specialist and others, not just the key management people only.
