I had the same dilemma when I was looking for a car two years ago. I had owned since it was brand new a 98 Eclipse GST and wanted something a bit more grown up. I looked at the 350Z’s and then the new Eclipses. I would have grabbed a 350Z as I wanted to go from front wheel drive to rear. The cost for the same extra’s on the 350Z was an additional 6K plus and no room in the car. Got the Eclipse GT with aero kit and did very simple changes to it (air intake, exhaust, tint window, replace rims, dash kit) and I think in black it looks better than a 350Z now. Still has front wheel drive but got all the extras and more and never got to the price of a 350Z.
