What can you do w/the iPod touch that you can do with the new iPhone, besides make calls?
The only other major functional difference is that the new iPhone will have GPS. If you choose to purchase the software upgrade for the iPod touch, it will be fairly comparable to hte iPhone. If you are happy with your current phone and plan (or in your case, NOT having a plan), and do not need the new options, then the touch is a fine solution. I consider myself a light-moderate cell phone users, but 3G and “Internet everywhere” is enough for me to pay the premium over my current phone. I considered the touch, but I’ve already got enough devices, and it will be nice to have my stuff with me and be connected without worrying about my phone, blackberry (which is going away!), and iPod.
