The Canon SX110 IS has no viewfinder. A major flaw since the camera is a super zoom at 10X optical. Is this what you want, lots of zoom? A subcompact Canon SD1100 IS is a fine camera, seen it for $170-. But it’s only 3X optical zoom.If your enlarging no more than as you write 5X7 or even 8X10 the Canon A590 IS should do well. Even price wise do well in that on line can be bought for $95-+shipping at Amazon.com 4X optical zoom, 8 megapixels, has shutter/aperture priority, has viewfinder and an image stabilizer.

Have a look at the Canon Powershot A590 IS its under $150 now and can be used either fully auto and you can also use manual controls so its a bit like an SLR. Its also dark grey so its not like those silver cameras everyone has got! I got one for Christmas and am loving it….
