Reply: Many organizations choose one or more individuals in Human Resources or Organization Development to go through the process first, so they can experience the process and explain it to others. The second stage is to request volunteers from senior management to be the ‘pilot’ team. The best volunteers are naturally curious early-adopters, who are often supporters of HR and OD initiatives. The next stage in the roll-out is to have the CEO inform everyone in the organization about the initiative. The ‘pilot’ team members can be identified and field questions at information meetings. The word will soon trickle out that the process was straightforward and relatively painless. Others will then be less hesitant.
