WHAT CAN THE MODERATE RISK/LEVEL 2 ORGANIZATIONS DO WITH THE NOTIFICATION THEY RECEIVE ABOUT SEX OFFENDERS?
It is imperative that level 2 organizations receiving notices understand they are receiving sex offender notifications in their official capacity and are not to disseminate information about an offender to anyone not permitted by law to receive such information. The information can be shared with any person who in the course of the duties of his or her employment or assignment is regularly in a position to observe unauthorized persons on or near the property of the qualified organization. The information is only to be used for the protection of the receiving organization and the people it serves and is not to be further disseminated to the public. A moderate risk/level 2 organization CAN not disseminate this information to the following: public, parents, other organizations, press, and children.
