What can The Bowen Technique be used to treat?
The Bowen Technique is a truely holistic therapy in that we say it does not treat specific symptoms. Instead it treats the body as a whole unit, because the body works as a whole unit. In reality if you have a specific complaint, that issue will often receive special attention and it is possible to treat only that area, but generally only if time limits prevent a full treatment. After all it may not be the sore area where the problem is stemming from, in which case the source of the problem will need treatment. There are no contraindications to using Bowen. There is no condition which the Bowen therapist would not offer treatment. Because of this, and because the treatment is so gentle, The Bowen Technique is suitable for everyone from new born babies to the frail and elderly.
