What can snakes eat?

If you are referring to the North American ringneck snakes (Diadophis), I have kept them, and they do well on earthworms. I never had one that would eat insects, and they are certainly too small to eat mice.

As far as I’m concerned, any damned thing they want to!!! I’m scared to death of any kind of snake. People used to tell me that I could learn which ones are dangerous by memorizing this little ditty about colors and I used to tell them that would be well and good except that I pass out when I see one so knowing what color they are is futile for me!!! I don’t care if they are pink with green polka-dots. If it’s a snake I don’t want to be anywhere near it. I just don’t understand the mentality of people who play with snakes. They are much better left outside and to their own devices. That way they can find their own food. I just hope I never come across one of them that swallows people whole! I don’t care to be a meal for a snake, TYVM.
