What Can Radon Do?
Radon is a radioactive gas. It is odorless, tasteless and invisible, and you breathe it with every breath you take. Radon exists everywhere, but in most locations, it is present only in very minute quantities. In certain circumstances and certain locations, though, radon can accumulate to levels high enough to pose a risk to your health. Identification Radon is formed through the natural process of the decay of uranium present in soil and rocks. As the radon is generated, it disperses into the atmosphere or, in some situations, dissolves into groundwater. Significance Radon can pose a significant health risk for people who are regularly exposed to high concentrations of the gas. This can happen in a number of different situations. In a home, radon can infiltrate through cracks or openings in the structure.
