What can President Obama do to keep the gas prices low this summer?
I’m not really sure that’s up to President Obama, is it? He has an awful lot to do as president, but I’m not sure that controlling the gas prices is in his job description or is even something that he personally has any control over. I suppose it might be possible to try to get Congress to drop some of the tax that we pay on gas, but that’s generally more a state option rather than federal. What he can do is encourage Americans to drive less, to work on getting better gas mileage, and to use public transportation more. With less demand for gasoline, the prices will be lower, in general.
